Fielder Williams Strain

Morning light pours into the back of the milking parlor as a few freshly milk cows mosey out to the feed lot.

Kevin began milking cows when he was 10 years old on his father and uncle's dairy farm. He is now a equal partner with his uncle at Williams Dairy.

Kevin waits for his breakfast during one of his visits to the Country Express. Kevin eats at the Country Express for breakfast and sometimes lunch every day he works.

Kevin Williams tries tempting one of the dry cows, a cow not presently producing milk, with a hand full of feed. Because of lack of room at Kevin's uncle Harry's the dry cows are kept on land rented from Kevin's father-in-law a few yards away from Kevin's house.

Kevin Williams begins herding the cows out of the feed lot back out to the fields after the morning milking. The cows are able to feed for five hours twice a day during and after milking times.

Kevin Williams sprays down the deck of the milk parlor after the afternoon's milking. For the sake of quality milk and for the health of his cattle keeping the place clean and sanitized is one of Williams top priorities.

As the smell of pork chops wafts through the air Kevin relaxes with a remote control in one hand and his youngest son Kameron, 7, in the other. In the kitchen Devin, 12, hovers around as dinner is being cooked by his mom, Cindy.
