Lester Cline, 81, has at least 18 cats that he takes care of inside his home. 'Some of 'em I raised and the rest people just left 'em,' he said. 'There's about three of 'em sleep on the bed with me.' Cline lives at 186 Interstate Loop now, but his previous residence was at Guntown Mountain. He owned the Guntown Mountain waterslides until about 15 years ago when he sold.
Travis Jackson, 22, of Cave City and DJ Brown, 11 of Glasgow enjoy a meal on the front porch of Mario's Restaurant. 'It's the best Italian food I've ever eaten,' Jackson said. 'It makes for a really nice evening.'
Mario will often go into the dining area and sit down and talk with his customers. His son, Ralph and his wife came by to eat with their friends Danny and Debbie Wright.
LeAndra Schroeder has worked with Mario for over a year. When she got the job she said, 'Af first I didn't know if I was going to keep it because I didn't understand his ways.' But now she says,'He's a very wise man, caring, understanding.'
Rizzitiello often finds that he forgets to eat or is not hungry by the time he has tested the food and eaten little bites here and there. He also says he has to have a few glasses of wine each night while he works.
Mario stirs his meat for his spaghetti sauce that is in the other pot on his 60-70 year old stove. The sauce has to cook for four hours before it tastes just right, according to Mario.
