
Cartenter's Cafe and Pool Hall is in the heart of downtown Cave City, Kentucky. Recently, taken over by Gary and Brenda Carpenter, the cafe once used to be a laundrymat, then turned into a cafe and pool hall about 15 years ago.

Sam Redding walks into the door of Carpeter's cafe by 7:00 a.m. religiously to have his cigarette and coffee each morning. Redding is 81 years old, and has been living in Cave City all his life.

John William Pennington 2nd 7yrs, goes to breakfast with his grandfather, Tommy Lyon before they head out for a day of fishing. Pennington gets teased by his grandfather's friends during his morning routine of coffee and breakfast at Carpenter's cafe and Pool hall.

Bill Rooler, a construction worker, is a regular at Carpenter's Cafe. 'I've been coming here for nearly 64 years,' he said.

Gary Carpenter wraps up his long day at Carpenter's Cafe and Pool hall. 'Now I'm gonna go home home, drink a few beers, watch sports...then get up and do again tommarrow.' says Carpenter.
