
Dr. James Crews has been a family practitioner in Cave City for 31 years. Crews said, 'I feel like I've contributed tremendously to the medical community.'

Joe Jewell,a patient of Dr. James Crews for about ten years, gets a popsicle exam. 'There used to be an old cheese plant here in Cave City that he worked at for fourty years,' said Crews.

Francis Craig,93, has been in and out of the hospital for years. Dr. James Crews checks up on her weekly at the nursing home. 'Six months ago I didn't think she was going to make it,' Crews said. As a result of Crews' efforts as chief of staff he said, 'We have a newly renovated hospital with outpatient services for the people in the community.'

Tina Philpott,10, looks on as Dr. James Crews examines a bug bite and rash on her father Danny. 'The wonderful thing about family practice is you never know what's going to walk through your door,' said Crews.

Dr. James Crews tends to the flowers behind his house in Cave City. Crews says an infestation of June bugs earlier this summer caused them to stop blooming.
