• Earvin and Cheryl Foster left their Home in New Orleans with their family the day before Hurricane Katrina. Now after almost two months in transition they are getting started again in Lawrenceburg Ky.
• Seeking means to support his family, Earvin Foster found a job working for the state government in Frankfurt as a courier. Though as a musician, he plans to soon record several songs that he has been writing.
• Ariving with their car, and only a few changes of clothes, the Joseph Project helped find a furnished place for the Fosters to stay in Lawrenceburg with free rent for six months
• As the children now enrolled in school start to make friends, and Earvin finds places to perform musically, they become more and more part of the community. "We couldn't have met any nicer people," said Cheryl "I think we're gonna stay here"
• Shane Pickett hangs out at the Main Street Sports Bar and Grill after work to unwind. A Lexington native, Pickett says he moved to Lawrenceburg because he prefers the small-town atmosphere.
• The Main Street Sports Bar opened five months ago by co-owners Jackie Bowens and Pic Shaw. It attracts friends from around main street as they gather for lunch or unwind after work.
• "Ninty Percent of my friends come here" explains Israel Cody, a regular at the Main Street Sports Bar and Grill. "Coming here is like going home to your kids, you know them all."
